Visual Lab started behind the camera. Today the same team runs strategy, creative, production and websites, and because the work stays with one team, nothing gets lost between the plan and the screen.
How Visual Lab started
Visual Lab opened in 2020 as a Sydney production company. Cameras, lights, edit suites, deadlines. The work was good, so clients kept asking the questions that come before and after a shoot. What should we make? Why? Where does it go, and what did it do?
So we started answering them. Most agencies begin with strategy decks and subcontract the craft. We grew out of the craft and built the strategy around it, and that order matters. The people planning your marketing know exactly what a shoot day can and can't deliver, and the people shooting know why every frame exists.

Where are you based?
In North Strathfield, Sydney, and we shoot Australia-wide. Travel is costed per job, so you see it before you commit.
Who owns the footage?
You own every finished asset on final payment. We archive the raw footage for 12 months, and it's available to purchase for a flat fee.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Not on fixed products. A Stream Day, Batch Day or Parallax Session is a one-off. Retainers start with a three-month commitment, then run month to month.
How fast is turnaround?
Live-stream highlights within 48 hours. Batch Day assets over 14 days. Brand films and campaign edits: first cut within 10 business days of the shoot.
Do we have to be on camera?
No. Plenty of the work we ship never puts a founder on camera. The product and the team carry it instead. If you do want to front it, we direct you through it.
Do you only work with fitness brands?
No. Fitness built our reputation, but the work runs across finance, payments, hospitality and retail: HAS, Ryker Capital, Australian Payments Plus, Australian Payments Network, Olive Tree Cafe and 460 Sydney Souvenirs among them.
Do you build websites?
Yes, along with the branding behind them. We settle the platform and the budget with you first, then design and build fully custom on Shopify, Webflow, Wix Studio or hand-coded. Never from a template.
